Information Security Officer (m/f/x)

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to join our team. Our goal is to advance Europe’s industry to compete in the age of AI. To lay the foundation, we need to ensure internal information security of the company, build and ensure security of the internal production processes, and build a secure environment for the internal products development and ensure reliability of the customer-provided services. Also, we are on track to prepare the company for the ISO-27001 certification. Your mission will be to build the Information security team, its processes and operational procedures. You will be creating security policies and put them in operation in a close collaboration with the IT department. You will be building the security monitoring systems, incident reaction procedures, business process monitoring and many more.

Your day-to-day will include: 

• Business process revision and risk analysis of the business processes
• Building information security monitoring systems 
• Support our teams in understanding regulatory requirements, creating information security policies and procedures, and putting them into operation
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of the cyber-security and information security systems. 
• Collaboration with IT, AI and management teams to effectively and successfully implement the IT security in the company business processes
• Contribute to our ISO 27001 certification in close collaboration with our Process Management
• Conduct security training sessions for employees to enhance their technical skills

• You have a Master’s degree in IT security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Comprehensive knowledge in the areas of IT governance and IT compliance as well as a good understanding of the interrelationships of information security influencing factors
• Understanding of information security integration in business processes, focusing on optimal performance/security balance 
• You have a vision of building and operating a security department
• Understanding of main goals and targets of an information security department as well as its role in the company production processes, and business operations
• Understanding ISO 27001 standard and integrating information security measures in existing business
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Advantageous to have (not mandatory): basic knowledge of Python or any other scripting language, conversational German language skills (e.g. B2 level)
