Head of Marketing (m/f/x)

As our Head of Marketing you will be a part of the Business Development, Marketing and Loyalty department leading our marketing efforts. In your role you combine your excellent expertise across brand, product and growth marketing. Together with our team you will build a world-class marketing function at appliedAI and define an iconic brand for possibly one of the most important AI ecosystems in Germany and Europe. Your role is crucial as we aim to ensure that the European industry remains competitive and relevant in the age of AI by keeping up in the global race for AI market leadership.

As the Head of this accomplished team, you will be responsible the following tasks:

• Define and evangelize our brand and how it presents itself to different types of audiences externally: customers, press and our ecosystem
• Develop and drive implementation of a comprehensive product marketing communication strategy that covers all aspects of the Buyer Journey as well as our relevant verticals and segments where appliedAI is active
• Develop and drive implementation of effective growth marketing (focus inbound) to meet our growth goals
• Build a scalable Marketing Operations function that enables better data-driven decision making, usage of AI and more efficient execution at scale
• Build and lead a world-class agile marketing team. Coach, and develop members of the Marketing function
• Act as strategic thought partner especially to our Sales Lead, the offering leads as well as our CEO in all aspects of marketing

• Oversee and steer budget planning as well as Performance Controlling

• You're a marketing expert and leader that is deeply thoughtful about the role of marketing and brand (particularly on narrative)
• You have already played a key role in defining exceptional brands as well as impressive narrative building driven by companies purpose and brand positioning
• You have a strong track record in Growth Marketing achieving MQL conversion of ~31% or higher
• You have a pulse what is cutting the edge in marketing and in our industry
• You have a bachelor of Business or Communication and preferably a Masters degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
• You have worked extensively with agencies and freelancers and know how to complement internal and external capabilities
• Minimum 10+ years of experience within a senior marketing role covering brand, product marketing communication as well as growth marketing
• You have a proven experience in a leadership role (min. 5+ years)
• You have a proven track of experience in collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders from different domains
• You have a track record of strategic marketing planning and direct execution within a technical industry or even AI industry
• You have experience in data driven marketing and performance controlling
• You know how to make use of agile methods combine this with OKRs, drive your team and agencies to get the job done  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You work hands-on, with strong team spirit and a positive attitude having experience to work cross-functional with different teams
• With your adaptability and pragmatism, you feel comfortable in a dynamic environment 
• Proficient command of both German and English (e.g., C1 level)
