Who is appliedAI?
appliedAI was founded in 2017 by Dr. Andreas Liebl as a division of UnternehmerTUM and is Europe's largest initiative for the application of trustworthy AI technology in companies.
The still valid basic idea is that only through collaboration and open exchange can we maintain our competitiveness in Europe together.
We must learn from each other and with each other in order to bring AI into application for everyone more affordably, quickly, and with higher quality. It is essential to share knowledge and prevent appliedAI from becoming a bottleneck.
appliedAI acts as both an enabler and an innovator. We work holistically with our partners, combining strategic aspects with structural ones, corporate culture with technology, or regulation with innovation. To be more precise, this implies that we tackle technological obstacles in both practical implementation and applied research.
With this approach, we have been successfully working with our partners since our founding and are also internationally recognized as one of the leading organizations.
Since 2022, appliedAI has been a joint venture of UnternehmerTUM and IPAI - Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence.
Since our founding in 2017, we have trained over 40,000 people in the field of AI with 100 colleagues and supported hundreds of companies in applying the technology.
