Your mission

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen the international MLOps team at appliedAI. In the MLOps team we support our partners to run ML projects with confidence; improving the efficiency and effectiveness of ML teams, providing transparency into the process, and being compliant with the regulations.  For this purpose, we are developing an MLOps framework, which is used by our partners and in internal projects.

As part of your responsibilities, you will be further developing this framework, enabling us and our partners to scale ML projects to production. Your key activities will include:

  • working as part of our Scrum development team
  • shaping architectural decisions regarding the framework development
  • writing and reviewing code for the MLOps framework and tooling
  • supporting rollout and operation of our MLOps application stack
  • engaging with different internal experts and external stakeholders

Your profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
  • Strong software engineering skills: you write clean and maintainable Python code. Experience with other languages (e.g., Go) is a plus
  • Confident with unit and integration testing
  • Experience with CI/CD (preferably Gitlab CI)
  • Experience with Linux and containerization technologies (Docker and preferably Kubernetes)
  • Committed to learning new things and technologies
  • Good communication skills and a team player attitude
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have:
  • Experience with tools for data versioning, experiment tracking, workflow orchestration, and/or model deployment
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience in regulated application domains (e.g., finance, healthcare, …)
  • German language skills
